Lara Ho confirmed that he reached out to Alonzo’s camp several times and expressed sadness over the situation, especially given the film’s success in America. He lamented that an interview intended to promote the film turned into a controversy.
Despite the issues, Lara Ho shared that Shirley Kuan and his wife remain connected, and he admires Bea Alonzo’s professionalism as an actress. He revealed that she was his first choice for the role and working with her was a dream.
“I don’t know if she will have the chance to see this but I really admire her, she’s a great actress, she’s a stellar performer,” Lara Ho said. “In fact, sabi ko there was sometimes during the production, I would tell her exactly na ‘Napakagaling mo’.”
