2015 was a year of love teams with AlDub, LizQuen, JaDine and KathNiel leading the pack. In 2016, who do you think will make it big in show business?
Here’s our bold predictions:
16. Juan Miguel Severo
He became an online hit with his heartbreaking spoken word poetry and was first given a break in showbiz through “On the Wings of Love.” With his funny role in the MMFF film “Walang Forever” which made a mark among moviegoers, we’re pretty sure we’ll see more of Juan Miguel in the near future.
15. Ronnie Alonte
Ronnie of “It’s Showtime” probably has the most number of fans in the all-male group “Hashtags” nowadays. Thanks to his TV guesting in “Gandang Gabi Vice” and Vice’s uninhibited admiration towards Ronnie, his fame skyrocketed so quickly.

14. Nico Antonio
He first appeared in several indie films and has been singing in a boy group on “ASAP” (with Markki Stroem and Alex Castro). He was also once a merman in “Dyesebel.” He also appeared as JM De Guzman’s sidekick in the MMFF New Wave Film “Tandem.” But his most memorable role to date is Tolayts, the tricycle driver-sweet lover in “On the Wings of Love.”
13. Pia Wurtzbach
Pia made every Filipino proud after she ended the 42-year drought of the pageant-fanatic nation vying for the Miss Universe crown. After trying for the third time in Binibining Pilipinas and finally representing the country in Miss Universe in 2015, Pia is now the rightful owner of the title, Most Beautiful. We now have a new Miss Universe!
12. Ylona Garcia
Ylona didn’t win as the “PBB” Big Winner, but this charming Fil-Aussie still has the potential to make it big whether in recording, TV or film.
11. JK Labajo
JK has been blossoming into a beautiful young and talented lad. After “The Voice Kids,” he has relatively found his niche in acting (via “Pangako Sa ‘Yo”) and performing (via “ASAP”).

10. Bailey May
After “PBB,” Bailey is being groomed as the next big thing in ABS-CBN. He now has an album and currently appears with Ylona in “On the Wings of Love.”
9. Jennylyn Mercado
Jennlyn has ended both 2014 and 2015 with bang having won the Best Actress trophies in MMFF with “English Only Please” and “#WalangForever. She has now proven her name in the industry as one bankable actress.

Top Pick: Janella Salvador
