One of the most important details of a wedding is the bridal gown. With so many memories attached to it, we can only imagine how sentimental a bride can get after the ceremony. These days, some businesses even specialize in bridal gown preservation where one can house her dress in an acid-free box. We just know how much value a lot of brides give the most important dress of their lives.
This is why we were so amazed at how TV host-model-teacher-lifestyle blogger Patty Laurel recently made a big decision to auction off her designer gown (+ bridal makeup services, on-the-day wedding coordination, and cake pop giveaways!) in an effort to help the typhoon victims in her mom’s hometown, Davao Oriental. What makes Patty’s gown even more special is that it was a gift from her mom. This entry is our simple way of helping spread the word and look for more bidders.

It’s touching to know Patty didn’t set a starting price and simply invited brides-to-be to bid for the gown based on their budgets. Just to give possible bidders an idea, the gown (Two by Rosa Clara LENA from the 2012 Spring Bridal Collection)
is currently priced at a little more than Php 100,000 at the Rosa Clara branch in Greenbelt Residences. We do hope the gown will end up auctioned off at a good price. After all, 100% of the proceeds will go to the less fortunate. One rarely gets the chance to buy designer and contribute to charity at the same time.:) Not only that, the winning bidder will also get the following additional values:
