Here’s part 2 of my unforgettable Sanrio Puroland experience. I spent a little more than 2 hours in the theme park but that’s because I didn’t watch the live shows. I was so scared to leave the area late since I will have to find my way back to Shinjuku and make it to our team dinner. 😛

I had no idea who this was but she looked so cute I had to take a photo of her as others lined up for a picture.

Welcomed by the sweetest and friendliest staff members. They all got the Hello Kitty spirit. (Spoken like a true fan hehe)

My experience at the Hello Kitty Town in Malaysia which just had a small space for Hello Kitty fans helped manage my expectations. Years back, I imagined Sanrio Puroland to be as big as Disneyland. For those who haven’t seen it, it is just the size of one area in Disneyland, divided into 4 floors from what I remember. 🙂 It looks like the place was designed for toddlers and tweens but you’ll find girls in their twenties and thirties enjoying themselves (ahem, ahem, speaking for myself!).

This has got to be one of the highlights of my park visit. Haha, it reminded me so much of Disneyland’s It’s a Small World. Only this time, you will be welcomed by Sanrio characters. It was like opening doors back to your childhood (literally!). 🙂 Hehe, I rode this TWICE  so I can take photos of the parts I missed. I won’t post all the pictures here so as not to spoil the experience of future visitors.

My sister laughed at me when I told her I took this ride TWICE. Can you blame me? The line was super short because I was in the place early. But I guess non-Sanrio fans will find it hard to understand. 🙂

I didn’t mind not understanding a thing these cuties were mumbling in Japanese. It was easy to conclude they were saying cute stuff. Haha.

They were all so cute that there were moments I imagined myself jumping in on the platforms to hug them. There goes my weirdness, out in the open. 🙂

See, in the midst of two to five-year olds, I found myself some “batchmates” 🙂 Even without loops and drops, my fellow fans looked thrilled as well.

Hehe, there was no way I was buying this photo taken by the ride’s built-in camera. I was caught on cam taking a photo of the mascots.

Before I paid tribute to Hello Kitty at her house, I dropped by her fellow Sanrio member, My Melody‘s designated area. 🙂 Again, I took the ride! Cheers!

Just a tip, if you’re planning to take your boyfriend, husband, brother, dad, or any male companion, make sure you warn them of the loads of girliness in store for them to see. Not everyone’s as patient as this husband right here in this pic. I knew they were married because I saw their rings. So sweet of this guy to handle the place’s overflowing feminine vibe.

Outside the My Melody area, I had some random cute encounters.

I wasn’t hungry at all as I had heavy breakfast at the hotel but I just couldn’t leave without trying anything at the cafeteria.

The best mochi everrrr. Kidding. It tasted just like all the other mochis I’ve tried before but these are undoubtedly the hardest ones to get my teeth into. It was just so hard to ruin the kitty faces! For the sake of this photo, I had to. 😉

Stay tuned for PART 3.
