At 11:30AM, the newest morning series targeted to millennials is airing on GMA — TROPS. Trops stars Eat Bulaga’s That’s My Bae alumni, more popularly know now as the BAES, and French-Japanese-Filipina Taki Saito. The BAES is composed of That’s My Bae grand winner Kenneth Medrano and his mates Kim Last, Jon Timmons, Tommy Penaflor, Miggy Tolentino, and Joel Palencia. The lead stars will be supported by senior artists Irma Adlawan, Benjie Paras, and Ina Raymundo. Showbiz newcomers Kate Lapuz and Toni Aquino (Ruby Rodriguez’s daughter) will be introduced in this show.

TROPS, a play on the word tropa, will be tackling the issues faced by the youth of today — peer pressure, friendship, rivalry, generation gap, and of course, romance. The love triangle of Kenneth Medrano, Miggy Tolentino, and Taki Saito will be one of the show’s highlights. It can be recalled that Kenneth and Taki first gained following as a loveteam through the recently concluded series Calle Siete at the same timeslot.

The show also aims to introduce today’s millennials to its viewers – from the latest trends to their attitudes, fashion choices, and relationship styles.

Catch the episode today right before Eat Bulaga.

TROPS is directed by director Linnet Zurbano.

Here are the highlights of the TROPS Media Launch last October 17 at Rack’s Timog.
