Miss Universe-Philippines 1994 (Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 1994) Charlene Gonzalez-Muhlach posted this touching and reassuring message for Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina on Instagram. Charlene and Maxine share the experience of representing the Philippines for the Miss Universe title right in their home country. As the former beauty queen and wife to seasoned actor Aga Muhlach said, it’s not easy to represent your country when the pageant is held in it.

Charlene made it to Miss Universe 1994’s Top 5 while Maxine made it to the Top 6 of Miss Universe 2016. Maxine has been the subject of online bashing for her performance in the question-and-answer portion.

❤Congratulations @maxine_medina. ❤ We are proud of u. ? It is not easy to be representing your country. Especially, when the pageant is held in your homeland. The pressure is immense. Victories and defeats are magnified. I commend you Maxine for being a strong woman & for pushing forward despite the pressure & challenges being thrown your way. That for me shows strength, character and true attributes of a queen. Us Filipinos are “one” in supporting you. ❤Here’s looking to an exciting future ahead as an abundance of blessings awaits you. Again, we are proud of you and Congratulations..Maxine ❤??❤ #top6#beautiful #MissUniverse #MissPhilippines#proudlyfilipina #pilipinaskongmahal ❤??❤
