In a festive and joyous celebration of the 120th anniversary of Philippine Independence, the Filipino community in Singapore gathered together last June 24 to hold “Pagdiriwang 2018,” a full day of fun-filled cultural, educational, and inspirational activities at Kallang Theatre, Singapore.

Led by the Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Joseph Del Mar Yap, the Philippine embassy, and various community leaders and volunteers, our kababayans took part and enjoyed the early morning fringe activities such as Hataw Bayan (Zumba Dancing), Parade of Philippine Regional Costumes, Bilbiling Filipinas (Pageant for Plus-Sized Queens), OPM Idol Singing Contest, Personal Development Talks; the late afternoon band performances; and the very entertaining GMA Pinoy TV segment with the Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
