The award-winning actress was dining at a local restaurant alongside fellow celebrities Ara Mina, Anjo Yllana, and Ynez Veneracion, as well as Charo Cordial, President and Founder of Maddox Jewelry, when an unexpected yet entertaining moment unfolded.
The idea was inspired by a real marriage proposal taking place at a nearby table. Inspired by the romantic gesture, the group spontaneously coordinated with the restaurant’s head waiter to stage a surprise mock proposal for Ai-Ai. Shortly after, a gentleman approached her table, knelt down, and unveiled a banner that read, “Will You Marry Me?” It instantly sent the group into laughter and cheers.
Adding to the authenticity of the playful act, a diamond ring from Maddox Jewelry, graciously provided by Charo, was presented during the staged proposal.
Ai-Ai was visibly surprised and delighted, laughing throughout the entire moment as guests captured the scene on video. The lighthearted “fiancé” even sealed the performance with a quick kiss on the forehead.
