Last September 11, it was revealed that Asia’s Multimedia Star and Anti-COVID-19 Campaign Ambassador Alden Richards was tapped to be the host of “Lockdown: Food Diaries,” a special documentary by GMA Public Affairs. The Kapuso heartthrob’s fans expressed excitement online as they were able to recognize Alden based on the teaser released.

Alden seems to be the perfect fit for the part as he recently ventured into entrepreneurship, specifically with food businesses. Like other business at this time, the Kapuso actor’s restaurant and fast food franchise were also affected by the current crisis.

In the said TV special, the issue on how this pandemic has changed the food industry game and how businesses have been badly hit will be tackled. It will let us in on how different sectors made adjustments to conquer the challenges and effects of the COVID-19 threat.
