Angel Locsin Impersonator Jennie Gabriel is Still ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ Defending Winner
We used to see her in Banana Split impersonating Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin. Little did we know, Jennie Gabriel has a lot more to offer than her entertaining standup comedy act. More than just sounding and looking like Angel Locsin (yes, there’s a resemblance!), Jennie can belt out what can be considered as powerful and “difficult” songs for even seasoned singers. Yesterday, when she sang Louie Ocampo’s Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin, the composer himelf who was one of the hurados gave Jennie a standing ovation (and so did the rest of the judges). No wonder she’s still the defending winner in It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan segment as of today, July 8.
