Vivamax stars Angeli Khang and Robb Guinto are celebrating their successful crossover to mainstream cinema with the film “Unang Tikim,” the platform’s first movie to hit commercial theaters nationwide. Both actors expressed their excitement about reaching a broader audience, highlighting the unique experience of seeing their work on the big screen.
Angeli, who has also made a foray into television with a role in GMA’s Black Rider, shared, “It’s hard to believe that after our hard work, we’re here now and are allowed to reach a wider audience on the big screen.” She further emphasized the significance of this achievement for actors aspiring to make it big in the industry, stating, “Vivamax has its own dedicated audience, but being on the big screen offers an entirely different experience for actors aspiring to make it big in showbiz. “Unang Tikim” tells the poignant tale of Yuna (Angeli) and Becca (Robb), two young women madly in love. The film explores their first experiences with love and intimacy, and the challenges they face when Becca is forced to migrate to the U.S. The narrative delves into themes of long-distance relationships, heartbreak, and the complexities of love.
The movie also features a stellar supporting cast, including Matt Francisco as Nicco, Yuna’s boss, and Christy Imperial as Trisha, Becca’s new lover.
