Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis have always been at the forefront of helping others in times of crisis and calamities. In 2009, the Kapamilya actresses started an initiative called Shop and Share for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Ondoy. Almost eleven years after, this 2020, the two revived the shop-for-a-cause project with fellow Kapamilya actresses Bea Alonzo and Dimples Romana to aid the government in providing more COVID-19 testing kits for underprivileged Filipinos.
Anne and Angel went beyond selling their personal items. They sought the help of their celebrity friends and gathered other pre-loved belongings to be sold online. Spotted in the website are items from Joshua Garcia, Karla Estrada, Robert Seña, Vhong Navarro, Dr. Aivee Aguilar-Teo, Dr. Vicki Belo, Dr. Hayden Kho, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Chito Miranda, and Vice Ganda. Standing out in the catalog are Anne’s Chanel bags and Angel Locsin’s car (2015 Dodge Durango).
A wide range of options (Some items go as low as P500) is available. Some brand designer items that do not have price tags are up for bidding. Shoppers abroad (TFC subscribers as mentioned by Angel in an interview with MJ Felipe) are eligible to make purchases given the credit card, debit card, and Paypal modes of payment.
Interested contributors who are not interested in shopping have the option to donate their money instead.
Based on Shop and Share‘s Instagram story earlier today, the project has already earned more than Php700,000 on its opening yesterday, June 1.
