AuGhost Exclusives features four films, two from Thailand – “Haunted Universities 3” and “The Cursed Land,” one from Taiwan – “Mystery Writers,” and one from Cambodia – “Z-Mom.” All four are fresh releases, being shown in Philippine cinemas for the first time, and have garnered significant attention in their respective countries.
“Haunted Universities 3” presents three chilling campus-related stories in an anthology format, while “The Cursed Land” follows a widower and his daughter as they grapple with a djinn unleashed in their dilapidated home. “Mystery Writers” takes inspiration from the real-life 1984 Jin Xin Building fire, transforming the tragic event into a horror drama. Lastly, “Z-Mom” unfolds at a holiday resort, where a mother becomes a hero, protecting her family from a zombie outbreak on the island.
Once dismissed as B-movies, horror films today play a crucial role in maintaining a vibrant film industry. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the thrills of Asian horror.
