Lipa City, Batangas, is currently busy with activity as it hosts the 2025 Barako Fest. This isn’t just a typical town fiesta but a strategic move to boost tourism and invigorate both small and large businesses across the province. The festival, which runs until February 15, is taking place along the Manila-Batangas Bypass Road in Marawoy, Lipa City.

A Festival of Firsts

The opening day of the three-day event was marked by two significant ceremonies: the groundbreaking for The Bean at Barako Triangle, a park with a unique coffee bean-shaped centerpiece, and the inauguration of the newly constructed Section 3 of the Manila Batangas Bypass Road. These projects signal growth and development for the region.

Entertainment for Everyone

Now on its third year, the Barako Fest has a packed schedule. Attendees can enjoy a battle of the bands, sports competitions (basketball and billiards), displays of local products and food, car and motor shows, and even games with well-known personalities.

Star-Studded Performances and Appearances

Music fans are in for a treat with performances by Juan Karlos, Arthur Nery, Al James, and Nik Makino. The festival also features a content creator gathering with Boss Toyo, Von Ordoña, Dane Grospe, Cherry White, Whamos, Pio Balbuena, Toni Fowler, Ava Mendez, Sachzna Laparan, Ato and friends, Jayzar Recinto, and Bisaya Squad.

The festival’s opening ceremony was a family affair, led by “Star for All Seasons” Vilma Santos-Recto, former Batangas governor and congresswoman, along with her sons Luis Manzano and Ryan Christian Santos-Recto, Luis’ wife, Jessy Mendiola, Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa, Lipa Councilor Mikee Morada, Batangas city officials, sponsors, and partners.
