Businesswoman-turned-online celebrity Charm Tualla has what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur – charisma, charm, and business genius. Her background in doing business played a huge part in her success.
“Prior to my bag selling, ten years na po akong director ng LTO one-stop shop in Las Piñas. We have a driving school, smoke emission testing [center], notary public office, and medical testing [center],” Charm shared. She juggles being an entrepreneur, wife, and mom.
During the pandemic, all these businesses closed down. “Wala po kaming income that time kaya naisip po namin ng mga kids ko na why not mag-online selling tayo ng personal bags ko, mga vintage.”
Charm and her kids, with the help of two of their employees who were tasked to do the oncam work of live selling, ventured into the trendy business technique. Unfortunately, the online selling stint wasn’t gaining much traction. “Five to ten viewers lang ang nanonood. Sa kaunting ‘yan, kami pa ang nanonood,” the businesswoman laughingly recalled. Family and relatives made up the rest of the viewers. Eventually, people started asking, “Who is Charm?” The business, after all, is named after her.
“That time, I think absent ang aking mga staff, so napilitan ako ng online live selling. Mahiyain po talaga ako. From there, pumasok ako ng live, kinagat ng mga tao,” Charm enthused. From ten viewers, she gradually but eventually reached a thousand viewers and more. The rest is history, as they say.
From selling pre-loved bags at the height of the pandemic in 2020, Charm’s ‘Shop Love, Charm’ began selling brand new ones. Her original bag pieces come from personal shoppers she outsources from Europe, Hong Kong, and other fashion- and business-savvy countries. Her skills in sales have also developed. She evolved from the shy business owner who just showed her hand once to the confident online seller, pushing the limits for her personal brand.
“Naovercome ko na ‘yung [hiya]. Naging kalmado na ako since ‘yung audience ko, may interaction with me. [May] sharing of stories ng OFWs natin abroad na nahohomesick.”
Charm attributes her success to her connection to her followers. In less than a month, she has been enjoying the attention of hundreds of viewers. “Sabi po kasi nila, may karisma raw po ako during live, and honest person [daw po]. Komedyante rin po ako,” Charm shared.
“Madami na po eh,” Charm explained the initial decision to sell her pre-loved bags. With consistency and hard work, she and her team have been able to grow the business to what it is today. Shop Love, Charm is now a legitimate and reliable buyer for bag lovers, including big celebrity names in the metro. The registered business is home to designer brands like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci, Hermes, and more.
Business Tips for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Reaction to Scammers and Losses
“Malakas po kasi ang faith ko. Ang iniisip ko, kung may nawala, mas marami naman ‘yung darating pa. Kung may nagsara namang pinto, may magbubukas ulit. Andyan naman si God, kakampi ko!,” Charm said, with reassurance. She revealed plans to open a beach resort soon and is contemplating coming up with their own brand of cosmetics and skincare.
The real charm behind Charm lies in her positive mindset fueled by authenticity, faith, and pure intentions for others.
