The Smart Araneta Coliseum was filled with red, blue, and white, illuminated by bright lights on the evening of July 31, as thousands gathered for a next-level concert experience celebrating 80 years of trusted service by leading healthcare brands Unilab and Mercury Drug. Alagang Suki Fest 2025 lived up to its promise—a nostalgic, joyful, and high-energy party brought to life by a powerhouse lineup of OPM icons and rising stars.

From the moment the gates opened at 5 PM, the arena was radiating with excitement. The evening began with a heartfelt video tribute to the 80-year legacy of Unilab and Mercury Drug Corporation. It highlighted that for eight decades, Unilab and Mercury Drug have shared one mission — to provide Filipinos with high-quality medicines and reliable service. Unilab ensures strict compliance with good manufacturing, laboratory, and storage practices, from sourcing raw materials to proper packaging, guaranteeing safe and effective products. Mercury Drug acts as the bridge between these products and the people who need them, handling and storing each item with care. Together, this partnership has built a legacy of quality, care, and commitment to Filipino health. The presentation set the tone for a night that honored Filipino wellness, community, and music.

What followed was a series of brand-powered entertainment segments that lit up the crowd. The Neurogen Sense-sational Challenge brought early laughs and cheers as lucky audience members competed onstage, led by ’90s pop culture icon, singer-actress, and TV host Jolina Magdangal. The ever-energetic GB Labrador and James Caraan of Comedy Manila kept the momentum going as the pre-show hosts. The Neozep segment followed, where the hosts were joined by the beloved brand mascot Ilong Ranger, much to the crowd’s delight.

Next was the Kremil-S segment, which had audiences cheering as popular host Robi Domingo led a fun, interactive game with on-stage participants. One of the evening’s standout moments was when one of today’s most popular stars, Belle Mariano, sparkled, literally and figuratively, in her shimmering blue outfit during the Biogesic segment. She had the entire coliseum on their feet, delivering powerful renditions of “Single Ladies,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “Uptown Girl,” and “Dancing Queen,” even stepping offstage to mingle directly with the crowd.

As the pre-show wrapped up, energy surged again with internationally acclaimed dance crew Legit Status opening the main show with an amazing performance. The music marathon then kicked off with crowd-favorite band Mayonnaise, performing hits such as “Bakit Part 2,” “Synesthesia,” “Kapag Lasing Malambing,” “Ipagpatawad Mo,” “Tayo Na Lang Dalawa,” and “Jopay,” making the crowd sing along and setting the mood for an unforgettable night of music.

Pop star Darren Espanto took the stage next, performing his tracks “Bibitaw Na,” “ANNAB (Ako Na Nag Ang Bahala),” the official eviction song he sang for Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition “Paalam Muna Sandali,” “In Love Ako Sa ‘Yo,” “Di Makaramdam,” and his popular cover of “Dying Inside.”

Following Darren, rising Gen Z artist Maki was warmly welcomed with chants of his name. He reciprocated the enthusiasm, keeping the crowd hyped with a vibrant set featuring his “colorful” songs—“Namumula,” “Bughaw,” “Dilaw,” “Kahel na Langit,” “Kailan?” and “Saan?” Maki also surprised fans with the exclusive announcement of the September 19 release date for his first full-length album, Kolorcoaster.

Nothing prepared the crowd for the OPM icon Gary Valenciano, whose boundless energy defied expectations. Dancing and singing as if it were still the 1990s, he performed a setlist including classics like “Shout for Joy,” “Di Bale Na Lang,” “Wag Mo Na Sanang Isipin,” and “Hataw Na.” He also invited his backup vocalists Elke Saison-Ortiz and Alyssa Quijano, and long-time musical director and arranger Mon Faustino to join him in a medley performance. His energy was matched by backup dancers Manoeuvres Ignite and the A-Team. The country’s “Mr. Pure Energy” also delivered a touching duet with singer and theater actor RJ Dela Fuente of their uplifting track “Blessings.” The soothing tune and inspiring lyrics brought chills and cheers alike.

Finally, BINI—the hottest P-Pop girl group today, dubbed The Nation’s Girl Group, closed the night with an upbeat set of hits including “Pantropiko,” “Shagidi,” “Karera,” and “Salamin, Salamin.” They energized the crowd with their iconic dance moves, dressed in sparkly red, blue, and white outfits. In a grand finale, all the performers returned to the stage to celebrate this momentous milestone and thank the audience for being part of this unforgettable celebration.

As one voice, the crowd cheered in gratitude for eight decades of health, care, and community. From iconic OPM to today’s chart-toppers, it was a night where music met memory, and love for Filipino service and talent took center stage.

Alagang Suki Fest 2025 was made possible by Unilab and Mercury Drug, enabled through the Alagang Unilab Rewards and Mercury Drug Tsuki Card programs—proving once again that caring never goes out of style.
