Get that artista glow even on a budget!

Looking fresh and flawless with an au naturel look seems to be the trend nowadays. Gone are the times when wearing dark eye shadow and heavy eyeliner is an everyday thing. More and more girls are simply aiming to perfect makeup techniques that make them look like they’re wearing none.
While it may now be easy to conceal imperfections with all these BB (blemish balm) creams and mineral makeup available, not everyone was born with rosy cheeks. There is always that risk of looking pale and sickly. With this, we did our research and scoured the market for a budget-friendly brand that can give us the same healthy-looking flush we see on celebrities.
For willing spenders, get an idea on which brands to look at through our list of products female celebrities use. The compilation is based on interviews and features on TV, magazines (mostly from Cosmopolitan bag raids), and Twitter in recent years. For the kikays on a budget, we’ll let you in on a beauty secret that can give you that blushing glow without hurting your wallets.

We first learned about this product through Andi Eigenmann’s cover story in Chalk magazine (September 2010 issue). We became even more curious when we saw it again in a bag raid feature of Melissa Ricks in Meg magazine (Oct 2010 issue). The call to action was so strong and a quick trip to the Sophie Paris showroom in Mandaluyong City (near EDSA Central) to check out the actual product made us understand its craze potential.
Sophie Magic Pink Cream’s effect resembles that of Smashbox O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Color. Unlike O-Glow’s transparent gel-like consistency, the Magic Pink Cream comes in white liquid form which turns pink as soon as you dab it on your cheeks. Make sure you just blend a small amount (a drop or two for every cheek) as the color tends to intensify as the skin absorbs it. Aside from its baby powder scent and cool adjusts-to-your-skintone effect, a 10ml tube just costs PHP70 (less than $2)! TIP: You can get it for less if you become a Sophie Paris member!
Here’s our actual trial with just two small drops of the magic cream:
