Before the Philippine release of Backrooms, CreaZion Studios is giving horror fans a chance to experience the unsettling world firsthand through “Backrooms Breakout,” a live horror escape attraction running from May 23 to June 7 at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City.
Taking inspiration from the internet sensation that sparked endless theories and nightmares online, the attraction recreates the disturbing atmosphere of the Backrooms — endless yellow hallways, strange empty spaces, and an overwhelming sense that something is terribly wrong. Guests will move through warped corridors and eerie environments designed to keep them constantly uneasy.
The immersive event serves as a lead-in to the local theatrical release of Backrooms, which arrives exclusively in Philippine cinemas on June 3, 2026. According to CreaZion Studios CEO Anter RJ San Agustin, the goal was to give audiences something beyond the usual movie promotion.
He explained that the team wanted fans to feel immersed in the tension and confusion that turned Backrooms into a worldwide horror obsession.
ENTRY DETAILS
Access to the “Backrooms Breakout” attraction is exclusive to moviegoers who already have a Backrooms ticket purchased from Shangri-La Red Carpet Cinemas. Tickets may be bought online or directly at the cinema’s ticket counters.
Each movie ticket grants admission for one participant only. Guests who want to attempt the experience again will need to purchase another movie ticket.
Those planning to join may also secure a slot ahead of time through the official reservation website. Reservations are valid for only 24 hours and require proof of ticket purchase or reservation confirmation through customer service.
Only a limited number of participants are accommodated daily, with 20 game schedules available and six players allowed per session. The attraction operates from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM throughout the event period.

Participants are required to present their physical movie ticket upon arrival, as it serves as the official pass to enter the escape room experience.
The film adaptation is directed by Kane Parsons, the creator responsible for the original viral Backrooms videos that exploded online. The movie stars Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor alongside Cannes Best Actress winner Renate Reinsve. Produced by A24, the project has already generated major attention among horror fans worldwide.
