September seems to be the month of cheating. At least in film plots. Two films focusing on marital infidelity are showing this month – My Neighbor’s Wife and No Other Woman.
Regal Films’ My Neighbor’s Wife, which started showing last September 14, stars Dennis Trillo, Lovi Poe, Jake Cuenca, and Carla Abellana. Although the storyline of swapping couples (and the inclusion of a bar) is quite reminiscent of the Korean film Changing Partners, it’s still interesting to find out how the four leads take on mature and daring roles. We’re also curious to see if the Kapuso leading ladies have chemistry with Kapamilya star Jake Cuenca. Watch the trailer below:

No Other Woman by Star Cinema and Viva Films will be in theaters nationwide starting tomorrow, September 28. Many are excited to witness the stereotype-breaking roles of Cristine Reyes and Anne Curtis. This time, Anne plays the role of the “other woman” while Cristine portrays the meek and submissive wife to her philandering husband (Derek Ramsay). Check out the intriguing trailer that already created buzz online because of a soon-to-be classic line:

We have yet to find out which one will win in the box office game. We’re just expecting the actual films to have something more to offer than their trailers. At the very least, we hope we won’t feel cheated of our time and money’s worth.
