Cristina ‘Kring Kring’ Gonzales-Romualdez heeds the call of a showbiz comeback, joins Viva Artists Agency
Viva Artists Agency has announced Cristina Gonzales – Romualdez as the latest addition to its roster of versatile talents. Gonzales, the daughter of late actor Jose Mari Gonzales, is a singer, entrepreneur and, an actress, and a politician.

She started out her showbiz career in 1985 as a singer and she was known as “Kring Kring Gonzales”. Following her father’s footsteps, she then eventually ventured into acting as she first appeared in FPJ Film, Pamilya Banal. She also starred in several films like Pedrito Masangkay: Walang Bakas Na Iniwan, Nasa Gabing Mamulat si Eba, Bad Boy 1 & 2, Bikining Itim, Kailangan Kita, and Sana Kahit Minsan.

However, when Gonzales – Romualdez met former Leyte Congressman Alfred Romualdez, at the peak of her acting career, she decided to leave show business to marry him and raise a family. Years later, she joined her husband in politics and served nine years as a councilor in Tacloban City and three years as town mayor. She’s also an entrepreneur who owns and runs her restaurant, Patio Victoria Restaurant and Events Place in Intramuros, Manila. The actress-turned-politician then decided to retire to take care of their two daughters, Sofia and Diana, and focus on being a wife.
The hands on wife and mom now decides to make a comeback in show business by signing a management contract under Viva Artists Agency. When asked about who are the artists that she wants to work with in the future, she answered “I’m looking forward to working with the Viva Artists whether the young ones or the ones from my generation. I would love to work with Sarah Geronimo one day. And maybe some comedy films as well with Janno Gibbs and Andrew E.”
Gonzales is very happy and excited to be with Viva again and she’s expecting a lot of good things coming her way this 2021.
