Darren Espanto’s ‘Tell the World of His Love’ Rendition at UST
Check out the goosebumps-inducing and tear-jerking rendition of the 1995 World Youth Day theme song,” Tell the World of His Love,” by Darren Espanto at the University of Sto. Tomas gathering with Pope Francis. Darren is a runner-up of last year’s The Voice Kids season (my personal bet, hehe!). The scene earlier brought back so many gradeschool memories of Pope John Paul II’s visit and memorizing this particular song (plus the hand gestures that come with singing it). Twenty years later, the song becomes even more meaningful as I watched the lovable Pope Francis hold hands and sing along with Filipino kids at the UST stage.
