With the constant disruption brought about by the digital industry, insurtech company Agile Insurance Agency and Business Technologies Inc. or simply Agile, is ready to push the limits in providing digital insurance solutions to their stakeholders and customers. Central to Agile’s purpose is to elevate insurance education by creating agencies for information dissemination. Thus, Agile partnered with Star Magic artist Dimples Romana as its brand ambassador for the product that they launched, JuanLife Personal Accident Insurance at Edsa Shangri-la Hotel last November 27, 2019.

Dimples, a celebrity momtrepenuer, recently fired up the digital space through her iconic character, Daniela Mondragon in ABS-CBN’s drama, Kadenang Ginto. While she appears in many television and movie projects, Dimples maintains a very strong voice as a mother, daughter and a wife, as evident in her social media posts.

“Dimples is a relatable brand endorser for JuanLife because she represents our target market: family nurturers who are central in every Filipino family and will do anything to ensure  their loved one’s security and success.” said Roselle C. Masirag, General Manager of Agile Insurance Agency and Business Technologies Inc. “They are resilient, problem-solvers, solution-seekers and entrepreneurial by heart, who lives day-by-day making decisions for their family

JuanLife is a personal accident insurance that was designed to serve the Filipino family.  The product’s name, which is a play on the common Pinoy monicker Juan, puts an emphasis that every “Juan” or every Filipino, only has “one life” to live.

Developed in partnership with non-life insurance company, Stronghold Insurance Company, Incorporated, JuanLife Personal Accident Insurance covers death and injury due to accident and acts of nature.

Unlike the typical personal accident insurances in the market, JuanLife, covers a wider age range (from 7 to 60 as opposed to the common 18 to 60), people with hazardous occupations and accidents resulting from acts of nature such as flood, earthquake, etc.  Pricing was mindfully developed to apply the same price, regardless of age and type of occupation.  Traditional personal accident insurance products apply a higher price for children below 18 and for people with high-risk jobs.

JuanLife is Agile’s first partnership initiative with an insurance company.  Masirag stressed Agile’s advantage of being an insurtech, “Through technology, Agile brings closer insurance companies’ brands closer to the consumers by making insurance accessible 24/7 through its website www.juanlife.com.ph and through our community-based distribution partners, The JuanLife Kakampi,” she explained.

As an insurtech, Agile partners with insurance companies that seek a competitiveness in the digital space. It serves as an innovations arm, offering product development, marketing, distribution, claims facilitation and administrative services to insurance companies.. It also creatively engages with new distribution channels and companies with related goods and services, building a unique business ecosystem for the insurance industry. This is a sustainable service model that builds loyalty and creates value for all stakeholders.
