Dining Review: Mary Grace Cafe at Greenbelt 3, Makati
I arrived in Manila today for a quick five-day vacation. I went straight to Greenbelt, Makati to find a good merienda place. And while doing my usual feeling–turista stroll, I’ve straightaway spotted Mary Grace from afar and told myself, eating a warm ensaymada with a hot cup of choco isn’t a bad idea at all!
Filled with yuppies (and hippies!), the place was surprisingly packed at 4 pm–just before the usual work-shift ends. I ordered my typical regular ensaymada and at the same time, I also wanted to be more playful with my drink.
Boy, I was in for a big surprise…
The white chocolate and cashew drink I had was a big revelation. The first time I took a sip, my tongue was immediately singing praises and Hallelujahs! It was almost reminiscent of my childhood favorite Nestle Alpine white chocolate mixed with Toblerone, and thereafter made into a hot drink.
Definitely a must-try when you are in the Greenbelt area. Big thumbs-up!
