At our most recent visit to Beast & Butterflies in the Philippe Starck-designed hotel M Social Singapore (90 Robertson Quay)my friends and I had an amazing time celebrating my 31st in the metro’s hippest new dining place.

Bright vivid lights and colors in sparkling pinks, regal violets, warm oranges, and party yellows welcome you as you step in this seemingly futurist-themed restaurant. A collection of unconventional furniture and interiors — from LED-lit dinner tables, fancy chairs in different sizes, and a mix of Peranakan, Persian and modern tiles — embrace the whole space. Live acoustic music plays in the background where you are free to sing along and enjoy the night, while drinking your classic cocktails in eccentric cup holders.

Despite being so modern and trendy, Beast & Butterflies successfully managed to not alienate it’s more matured guests altogether by balancing it with stylish yet good comfort food in its menu.
