For many Filipinos, the golden era of disco was both a musical trend and a cultural moment that shaped generations of performers, television audiences, and dance enthusiasts. The glittering lights, enticing rhythms, and iconic dance crews of the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s defined an unforgettable chapter in Philippine entertainment. This spirit of rhythm and nostalgia comes alive once again in “Disco Forever (D4E): Showstoppers of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s,” a grand live dance concert that brings together some of the country’s most influential dance icons on one stage.

Set to happen on March 21, 2026 at The Theater at Solaire, the show promises a celebration of Philippine dance heritage. Produced by B & B House of Talents and Events Management Corp. led by Raoul V. Barbosa and Cecille T. Bravo, the production gathers generations of performers who helped shape the country’s colorful disco and dance movement.

Aside from being a nostalgic concert, Disco Forever also positions itself as a cultural reunion, a night where rhythm, memories, and artistry intersect. It is a tribute not only to the music that defined three decades, but also to the dancers and television performers who brought those songs to life on stage and on screen.

At the heart of the grand reunion is Miles Obra (Miles Borin), a dance figure whose career traces back to the original WEA Dancers and later to Miles and the Pacesetters. Her presence anchors the show’s celebration of enduring artistry and performance excellence. For Obra, the project is deeply personal.

“This show is my way of giving back to the dancers who were part of the journey,” she shared. “Disco Forever celebrates the memories, friendships, and the passion for dance that continues to inspire new generations.”

Alongside Obra are celebrated performers who have long been associated with Philippine dance and television variety shows. The lineup includes Geleen Eugenio, The Aldeguer Sisters, Pia Moran, and Yvonne Salcedo, artists who each contributed to the evolution of dance performance across decades of entertainment.

But what truly elevates the event is the extraordinary assembly of legendary dance crews. Disco Forever brings together groups that defined the choreography and visual identity of the disco era. Among them are Swing Duos, Vicor Crowd, Vicor Dancers, Dyna Dancers, Dyna Company D, Alpha Colours, A&W Dancers, Octo Arts Dancers, Octo Mechanix, Magic Movement, Beat Culture, Knapsax, Miles and the Pacesetters, and Black Gold Dancers.

Joining them are equally iconic teams such as WEA Dancers, WEA Ral’s, BMG Dancers, Turbo Gang, Power X People, Black and White, Singles, Urban Dance Crew, Viva All Male, Big Brothers, Manoeuvres, Hotlegs, VIP, and Axis PH. Together, these legendary crews promise a nostalgia-charged performance that pays tribute to the rhythm-driven decades when dance groups dominated television and stage performances.

Adding even more excitement to the evening are special guest performers. The lineup includes Ima Castro, widely known as the “West End Diva,” and Tess D Smith, dubbed “Tina the Best,” celebrated for her powerful tribute performances inspired by the legendary Tina Turner. Completing the musical atmosphere is The Boyfriends, who will bring the timeless sound of Manila music to the stage.

The event also opens with a new generation of performers, including Janah Zaplan, Klinton Start, Bravo’s Angels, and Sephy Francisco, symbolically bridging the past and present of Philippine dance culture.

Behind the scenes, the production brings together an experienced creative team tasked with delivering a show that merges retro energy with contemporary stagecraft. Creative direction is led by Miguel Tanchangco, with Flo Reyes serving as event director. Jimmy Santos takes on the role of stage director and production coordinator, while Nesh Janiola-Alcantara leads as blocking director and head choreographer. The technical side of the show is handled by sound engineer Art Adriano, while Jeff Namoc oversees stage design and execution.

Beyond entertainment, the event also carries a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Dance Advocates Network for Collaborative Empowerment, an organization that supports dancers and promotes the continued development of the dance community.

Now that dance trends evolve rapidly through digital platforms, Disco Forever serves as a reminder of the pioneers who built the foundations of Philippine dance performance. These were the artists who filled television screens with choreography, whose synchronized moves became part of the country’s pop culture memory.

For one night, they return not only to relive those moments but to celebrate the legacy they created.

Disco Forever (D4E): Showstoppers of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s promises to be a revival of rhythm, a reunion of dance royalty, and a special tribute to Filipino performers.
