Dr. Kaycee Reyes celebrates nine years of Luminisce with own Youtube channel and beauty projects
“When you’re 40, you will always think that you’re 20. I always think of myself as that 23-year old and it’s like you can’t see yourself as an old person,” Dr. Kaycee Reyes smilingly said this as she ventures into new and exciting projects. The founder and medical director of Luminisce Skin Clinic celebrated her nine years of medical service with the media and social media personalities last Saturday, September 18. In the said virtual mediacon, Doc Kaycee, as she is fondly called, talked about adapting to the trends even after almost a decade in the medical industry. One of the main projects is the official launch of her Youtube channel, Luminisce by Doc Kaycee.
“Although it’s not my forte, to be honest, it’s out of my comfort zone. But right now, I guess, at a certain point in your life, you just want to test the waters and see how you can reinvent yourself. So, let’s see. I used to really prefer writing,” Doc Kaycee, a newspaper columnist, detailed how she’s moving out of her comfort zone with this new online venture.
Addressing needs in the midst of a crisis
Doc Kaycee continued to explain how the current needs of her patients can also be addressed by being more visible online and making information readily available. She said, “Now, we really cannot talk to more patients because most of them don’t go to the clinic. I think it’s the best way to inform everyone how to buy aesthetic medicine, at the same time preventive medicine, with evidence-based and integrative medicine. So, it’s very important for me because it’s not just the aesthetic aspect. The skin is just the outer layer of the skin. Whatever you see on your skin is the manifestation of the inflammation of what’s happening inside your body so we need to we really need to do something for like for what’s inside. That’s why we thought of innosense.”

Leading-edge wellness
A graduate of our very own University of Sto. Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery, Dr. Kaycee completed her Diploma in Dermatology from the King’s College in London and received a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Dermatology from St. John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s & St. Thomas Hospital, also in the U.K. She then became a visiting fellow in Dermatologic Laser Surgery both in Thailand and in Singapore, where she accrued her expertise on lasers, a trademark treatment of Luminisce.
In her relentless pursuit of excellence, Dr. Kaycee most recently completed her Master of Science in Preventive and Regenerative Medicine at Dresden International University in Germany. This makes her one of the few physicians to have an internationally-accredited degree in clinical medicine specialized in Well-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. It’s also what brought about the creation of Luminisce’s preventive medicine branch, Sol Revive.
“To give you optimum results, we combine aesthetic treatments with preventive regenerative medicine practices,” says Dr. Kaycee, highlighting her clinic’s distinct edge and proof of its readiness to constantly evolve and grow. Through this strategy, she aims to change not only the face of beauty, but also change lives.
