‘Eat’s Showtime!’ for the Joey De Leon KALOKAlike Contestant
Today’s It’s Showtime episode was full of aliw factor when the madlang people gave KALOKAlike contestant Roberto Tobillo a standing ovation. Fifty-year old Robert from Plaridel, Bulacan joined the show’s newest celebrity look-alike contest held every Saturday and created a huge impact when he impersonated Joey De Leon, host of the show’s strong rival Eat Bulaga. Aside from his strong resemblance to the TV host, Robert also captured Joey De Leon’s mannerisms and facial expressions. He got everyone cheering when he sang Itaktak Mo, the hit novelty song originally sung by Joey. It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda led everyone into joining the performance later on.
Asked what the number one noontime show is, Robert jokingly answered, “S’yempre Eat…’s Showtime!”
