Yssentials PH founder and owner Ysa Nuñezca Singson

Yssentials PH is the passion project of Ysa Nuñezca Singson, a mother and a proud government employee of the Bureau of Immigration for 13 years now, during the pandemic.

Ysa entertained questions from the press

In an intimate media launch held on February 12, the owner and founder told the selected press, “Since it started during the pandemic, around August 2020, nabuo yung name na essentials. And my name is Ysa so pinag-combine ko lang yung name ko and yung essentials, and skin care and beauty are essential.”

During those times, she had to undergo pimple breakouts. She recalled, ”naghanap ako ng produkto na makakatanggal ng acne ko without experiencing yung mga na-experience ko before kasi I tried a lot of products even pre-acne period ko.

The raw materials of her products come from Italy and Japan. While everything is manufactured here in the Philippines.

A self-confessed raketera, Ysa said that with her passion and determination, she was able to build Yssentials from scratch.

Admittedly new in the beauty industry, with big names dominating the market, Ysa pointed out that her brand’s purpose will lead them to thrive the competitive scene.

“Aside [from the fact that] we provide quality and affordable products, ang lamang po ng Yssentials ay, we not only focus on the product itself, we not only on the income opportunities ng mga distributors and resellers naming, may purpose po ang Yssentials. We want to build a strong community of women with continuous learning, continuous training, we want them to improve and grow themselves.”

Through her distributors and resellers, Ysa wanted to build a strong community of women where everyone lifts and empowers each other.

According to her, the brand is currently relaying on social media as their platform to market the brand, with word of mouth as the “most effective tool.”

But if given the chance, who would she want to pick us Yssentials celebrity ambassadress?

Gleefully, Ysa said, “Neri Naig-Miranda… She embodies the woman I want to build in Yssentials. Hindi lang po siya isang may-bahay, isang ina, asawa, anak, negosyante, she continuously strives and learn, improve and grow herself. Nag-start po siya sa Neri’s Gourmet Tuyo and now she has a lot of ventures. Yun po rin sana yung gusto kong values and ma-build para sa mission and purpose ng Yssentials.”

Currently, she has distributors internationally, as far as Canada, Australia, and Dubai.

Business Tips

When asked for her business advice, Ysa gave a quick tip that she swears by even before, “Just start.”

She later on explained, “Start [with] what you have, start where you are. Hindi mo kailangan maging malaki agad-agad. Hindi mo kailangang malayo agad-agad. Magsimula ka lang kung ano yung nasa harapan mo, kung ano yung meron ka, tsaka mo pagyabungin.”

Acting on your goals may be the hardest part but finding your “WHY” will give you all the reasons you need to keep going. “Yung iba kasi napa-paralyze tayo kasi overwhelmed tayo and gusto natin nandun na kaagad tayo. Kaya okay lang na magsimula ka sa maliit, little by little, palakihin natin.”

Ysa ended with this simple reminder, “Kapag meron kang matindi o malalim na purpose, your biggest why, kahit gano kahirap, kahit gaano ka-challenging, talagang ilalaban mo ito.”
