“I’m very excited kasi matagal na ako preparing for the movie, for my song, so it’s about time that it’s gonna be released,” Jennings shared. “Sana mapanood ninyo yung pelikula ko, Isla Babuyan.”
“Isla Babuyan”: A Bittersweet Project
The single also serves as the official soundtrack for Jennings’ upcoming movie, “Isla Babuyan.” This film holds a special significance for Jennings, as it was the last project of her late manager, Tito Leo Dominguez.

She expressed mixed emotions about the film’s release: “I’m happy but I’m also sad and a bit nostalgic. I’m really grateful, but at the same time, I’m really sad that Tito Leo Dominguez, he is unable to be here to watch it and to see the launch because it was his last project before he passed away and it was his passion project.”

Transcontinental Artist
Although she’s currently based in the UK, Jennings is dedicated to building her career in the Philippines. She’s finishing her studies in business management with economics and accounting, but plans to relocate to the Philippines next year.
“So, once I graduate, lilipat ako dito sa Pilipinas. So, next year pa. Next year.”

Even with her busy schedule, Jennings manages to balance her education with her artistic pursuits. “For me kasi, I’m quite good at balancing both things. I’m a very well-rounded person and mataas naman yung grades ko. So, I’m able to focus on my acting and singing career on the side,” she explained.
From Singing to Acting and Back Again
Jennings’ first passion was singing, which she pursued through competitions in the UK. However, after moving to Los Angeles, she discovered a love for acting.

“Pero, when I moved to Los Angeles, I took up acting. I did a major with acting. So, that’s where I learned to love the craft. I took acting classes in West Hollywood.”
While she acknowledges the challenges of breaking into Hollywood, she hasn’t ruled it out for the future. “I would love to, in the future, try to have some Hollywood projects. But, I want to start slow and start little. You have to build. You have to work hard. Small roles muna. Build yourself up before you could go to Hollywood.”
This dedication to her craft, along with her talent and drive, the future in showbiz looks promising for Geraldine Jennings.
