New and promising pop-rock band Nextone, composed of brothers Elijah and Ezekiel Del Rosario (lead vocalists and guitarists), Antonio Laron (vocalist and guitarist), and Alean Soto (drummer), has just released its third single titled “Nagkulang,” under Sony Music Philippines.
Elijah, Ezekiel, and Antonio are still studying at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Taft, Manila, while Alean has alreadye earned his degree.
Nextone’s first single “Sa Iyo” and its revival song “Kailan,” originally sang by Smokey Mountain, hit numbers 1 and 2 spots, respectively, in the Magic 89.9 countdown for five weeks, from mid-December of 2025 until January this year, and then, its second single, “Taft Ave.,” made it to the top 10 last June only. Another classic hit song that the boys revived was Rachel Alejandro’s “Mr. Kupido.”
Nextone hopes to do a collaboration soon with some of the artists they really look up to in the music industry, like SB19, IV of Spades, and Maki. In the mean time, their supporters can catch their scheduled live performances at 12 Monkeys at Estancia mall at Capitol Commons Pasig, Rico’s bar in Marikina, and Hard Rock Café Makati and Manila.
