Regal Entertainment has unveiled the first glimpse of its upcoming romantic offering, Almost Us, through its official social media pages. The teaser introduces former Pinoy Big Brother housemates JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, the fan-favorite duo affectionately known as JMFYang.
The project marks the pair’s first time to topbill a full-length feature film together. Prior to this, they appeared in the Metro Manila Film Festival horror box-office hit Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins, as well as the popular iWant Originals series Ghosting Parts 1 and 2, where their chemistry first captured a loyal following.
The film’s director Dan Villegas handpicked JM and Fyang to take on the lead roles, with the screenplay written by seasoned romantic-comedy writer Miguel Sevilla. Almost Us is produced through a collaboration between Regal Entertainment and Project 8 Projects, the production outfit of Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas.
Set for a nationwide theatrical release on May 6, Almost Us is already generating excitement as fans look forward to seeing JMFYang take centerstage in their first major big-screen romantic comedy.
