“Humbaaam!” This expression by the country’s top choreographer Georcelle Dapat-Sy, the brains behind G-Force, perfectly captures the success of Teacher G’s dance project comeback.

“The G-Force Project: 2022 Summer Dance Workshop” started last May and Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy and her instructors are once again teaching aspiring performers.

“We want to let everyone know that G-Force is back! We’re back to sharing what we know about art of dancing and performance,” said Georcelle.

She added that teaching students was one of the things she missed the most during the lockdowns. Before Covid-19 struck, hundreds of aspiring dancers queued for auditions for a chance to be a member of G-Force.

This year, training workshops have been held in Quezon City, Alabang and in Cebu.

The G-Force Project will continue until July, but a dance concert by students attendees is set this June 25 at the Music Museum.

This recital is the high point for workshop attendees. It’s where trainees “get to strut their stuff,” after all that training, and for them “to enjoy the feeling of performing in front of a live audience,” said Georcelle.

Four sets of performances, that cover the different skill and age range of their students, are scheduled this Saturday, starting at 12 noon for the first, until 6:30pm for the fourth show.

A previous performance was held last May 28, and another one is scheduled for July 23.  A dance concert for Cebu workshop attendees is set for July 9 at the Robinsons Galleria, Cebu Atrium.
