Dear Kate,
How are you?
I know I don’t get to ask you that often but I am glad you seem fine. Can you believe it has been 473 days since the whole country was confined? And when you thought that things would be much different this 2021, you woke up today and realized, “Hey, half of the year is gone!”

With the way things are going, I’m glad you’re holding up well. Do you remember thinking this would just be a quick historic moment to tell?
Look at you now, you have acquired a routine. You look so chill and comfortable just as I’ve seen.

Well, I know what you have been through and that makes me proud. This whole mess of a global crisis screamed its message out loud.
For someone who stayed home and was left with no choice, you’re one lucky person to have found your voice.

When news of deaths and surges became widely spread, nights were filled with sadness and mornings with dread. While your heart was broken as you slowly lost hope, you found ART as an escape and the best way to cope.

The discomfort and uncertainty were not easy to drive away. But having something to enrich you kept loneliness at bay.
While you made yourself happy, you made others smile. You brought that kind of happiness we used to have as a child.
You turned every artwork into a personalized piece. Keep those kind words from your clients for as long as you please.
Each item you sell is created out of love and has a story to tell. Amazing, I know. It’s a joy to see you strive and watch you grow.

Getting featured in the newspaper twice during the pandemic is humbling and heartwarming.
Spreading love, you discovered, brings brightness like the sun. Spending time with those who matter is the best form of fun.

The virus may have crept up into homes and claimed lives but it also brought with it lessons we’re all meant to realize.
I know how fearful you are of what the future holds but I’m glad you cling so strongly to what God has told.
In your quest for learning, you found healing in place. You are now ready for the future and out of the daze.

I am so happy with how you rolled with life’s punches. You even found your way through all those cracks and some crunches.
Given enough courage, sadness is now on the shelf. You have rediscovered the best relationship, and it’s the one with yourself!
Remain true to your core and hold on to your power. What you have in your heart is more than ready to conquer.
Stay safe, Survivor.
Stay strong.
Love yourself.
Love,
Your Self ♥️
PS: Check out your works of heART during the lockdown. You were virtually part of anniversaries, birthdays, and random sweet moments.
