One day on the global calendar became a month on the Philippine map. Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI) stretched World Gin Day into a four-stop nationwide run called Ginuman X. It is a traveling mix of music, cocktails, and Pinoy camaraderie that moved from Luzon to the Visayas and Mindanao.

The series ran through June across four venues: the RSA Sports Complex in Balayan, Batangas; Talisay City, Cebu; Robinsons Antipolo; and Pueblo de Oro in Cagayan de Oro. Positioned as the newest evolution of GSMI’s Ginumanfest, the format was built to carry the World Gin Day celebration into more communities at once.

The events also made a case for gin’s staying power. Ginebra San Miguel has spent decades at Filipino reunions, milestones, and ordinary weeknight gatherings alike, and Ginuman X put Gen Z, Millennials, and long-time enthusiasts in the same crowd.
“Gin is the only liquor with botanicals highlighting the juniper berry. Brandy, rum and other liquors do not have botanicals, hence gin is unique in both ingredients and flavor,” said Ron Molina, GSMI Marketing Manager. “Through Ginuman X, we created a more immersive experience that celebrates not only the versatility and quality of gin, but also the spirit of togetherness that has always defined the Ginebra brand. It is our way of showing that gin continues to bring people together across generations.”
The run extends more than a decade of company-led gin programming. GSMI staged the first World Gin Day celebration in the Asia-Pacific region in 2014, timed to the 180th anniversary of its flagship brand, and has since built on it with the One Ginebra Nation Tour, the “Gin Is In” campaign, and last year’s “Your World of Gin Experience.”

This year, the company raised the bar again.
The “X” carries three meanings — eXperience, eXtraordinary, and eXciting — and each stop was designed around all three.
Line-ups changed by city, drawing from some of OPM’s most in-demand acts: Al James, Allmost, Because, P.O.T., Banda ni Kleggy, 6cyclemind, Chocolate Factory, Cookies, and Oh! Caraga, with local performers opening for their own crowds.
Between sets, guests moved through interactive cocktail demonstrations, games, raffles, exclusive merchandise, and brand activations that put Ginebra products to work in a modern cocktail context.

For GSMI Group Product Manager Paolo Jose “Tooper” Tupaz, the series shows a company innovating without letting go of its heritage.
“Ginuman X is our biggest and most immersive World Gin Month celebration yet. We created an experience where people don’t simply attend an event—they become part of it. We introduced a new way of celebrating gin while keeping alive the Filipino spirit of tagayan, friendship, and community that has always made Ginebra special,” Tupaz said.
The celebration carried a civic dimension as well. A portion of proceeds from the nationwide events went to the San Miguel Foundation, tying each stop to community programs beyond the venue gates.
“Celebrations become even more meaningful when they create a positive impact beyond the event itself,” Tupaz added. “Every ticket, every toast, and every shared experience helped support communities through the San Miguel Foundation. It’s our way of reminding everyone that great celebrations can also give back.”
With Ginuman X now wrapped, GSMI has done more than scale up the country’s largest World Gin Month celebration — it has restated its claim on how the next generation of Filipinos will come to know gin.
