Hey Pretty Skin CEO Anne Barretto proves that one can make dreams happen amid the pandemic
At the age of 31, Anne Barretto can already claim that she’s living her dream life.
Aside from a loving family with her ever-supportive husband Lester and her son Caleb, she is the CEO and founder of LGB Aesthetic Center Opc—with Hey Pretty Aesthetic Center and her newly-launched skincare line, Hey Pretty Skin, under its helm.
Well-attended by her staff, distributors, and guests, Anne was beyond ecstatic at the Grand Launch of Hey Pretty Skin held last December 20 at Joselito’s Resort and Events Place in Tagaytay.
In a brief interview with the press, she expressed her gratitude for the outpouring support. “Sobrang sobrang nao-overwhelm po talaga ako, parang first time ko po talaga yung sobrang ganito kadaming camera yung nakatutok sa akin so medyo shy type ako pero sobrang grateful and sobrang happy po talaga sa pag-support nila sa akin.”
Anne has been successfully carrying her beauty and wellness brands gracefully amidst the pandemic. In a span of three years since she first launched her brand, she has put up 16 branches of Hey Pretty Aesthetic Center across Metro Manila – Mandaluyong, Quezon City, Makati, and as far as Bacoor, Cavite, for which she is beyond thankful.
“Buti nalang po talagang itong business na pinasok ko, eto po talaga yung passion ko. Kaya sabi ko, hindi ko to bibitawan. Ano mang mangyari, gagawa ako ng paraan, hahanap ako ng paraan para mas lalo ko pa po siyang mapalaki. Hindi naman po ako pinabayaan ni God, talagang lagi siyang nasa akin. Siguro po yung naging goal ko rin talaga is syempre maka-help din po sa iba. Kaya wala pong kaisa-isang branch ko yung nagsara kaya sobrang happy naman po.”
Admittedly a newbie in the beauty industry when the pandemic hit, Anne made clear that she isn’t the type to back down, even if the situation pushes her. “Syempre po ngayon kasi sobrang dami kong staff na talagang nakasandal sa akin, so kailangan ko talagang magpakatatag pa.”
Overall, Anne manages over 100 staff members and is swiftly growing.

Anne is a firm believer that beauty should be made available for everyone. Thus, she made sure that her own brand carries the same mission: to offer quality yet affordable products and services that will empower everyone.
In a separate interview, she said that she has always envisioned Hey Pretty to be the ultimate go-to destination for anyone looking to exude confidence through natural beauty.

Anne promised that there’s more to come in 2022. Aside from launching her new product lines, she is also looking at extending her branches to Davao, Zamboanga, and Cebu, among many others. She explained, “yung mga distributors ko po, gusto ko naabot ko sila. Kasi ngayon, isang bagay din na strategy ko kasi is yung mga distributor ko, since nag-try po sila sa akin… in return, ginagawa ko po lahat sila, inii-isponsor ko [in Hey Pretty Aesthetic Center]…”
BUSINESS TIPS
When asked for her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs, the lady boss gave three important reminders that she realized throughout her journey to which she owes her early success.
First, “Huwag niyong sukuan yung dream niyo. Kasi kung kaya ko, kung nagawa ko from the start, I’m sure magagawa din po ng iba.
“So kung ano yung passion mo talaga, gawin mo lang. Mahalin mo kung ano talaga yung gusto mo, pursue mo kung ano talaga yung gusto mo, then I’m sure na magiging successful ka talaga afterwards.”
Second, she reminded, “Talagang walang permanente.”
And lastly, one must learn the value of savings to which she explained, “At tsaka dapat talaga mag-ipon, kasi lalo na nung nag-strike yung pandemic, talagang miski ako, nung kasagsagan ng business ko, kalakasan, nagulat ako e.
“Kailangan talaga habang nagbi-business ka talaga, nag-iipon ka. Nagse-save ka talaga para sa future, kung ano man yung mangyari, ready ka.”
Looking back, she added, “Kasi po ako talaga hindi po ako lumaki sa well-off na family so talagang yung na-experience ko po yung kumikita ako ng sarili kong pera. Talagang binibili ko lahat ng gusto ko.
“So nung nag-strike yung pandemic, nagulat ako kasi hindi ako ready. Dun ko nakita na parang ‘ay hindi pala pwedeng ganon,’ na porket may pera ka, gastos ka lang ng gastos kasi darating yung mga pagkakataon na pwede kang magkasakit, kagaya ng ayan po yung pandemic, hindi ka magiging ready.”
