Highlights: “A FUNtasy Date with Kim Chiu and Xian Lim” in Singapore
KimXi fans are still on a high after the successful concert of Kim Chiu and Xian Lim at the Kallang Theatre in Singapore this afternoon.
“Xian is my ‘one call away’ – kapag kailangan ko ng kasamang kumain o anuman, siya talaga ang tinatawagan ko,” quips Kim before the couple took on Charlie Puth’s popular single. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., KimXi did non-stop kilig performances and the audience were constantly awestruck while catching glimpses of their ‘romance’ — e.g. Kim wiping the sweat off Xian’s forehead; Xian reaching out to hold Kim’s hand.
The ever-witty Kim kept us laughing the whole time with her amusing spiels and unabashed antics — the most remarkable for me was when she noticed a non-functioning electric fan obstructing the center of the stage and turned it into a humorous talking point instead. She goes: “oh, you are my number one fan!”
In all fairness, she was really pun-ny!
Xian, on the other hand, warmly mingled with his supporters by constantly walking and moving around even closer to those sitting in the general patronage. He hugs most of his fans, he kissed an old lady in the forehead, and he even gave out one of his jackets to a loyal supporter.
In this day and age when most celebrities opt to lip-sync during concerts, Kim and Xian defined the odds by performing/singing live, just with their raw vocals. Truly applaudable!
