With an auditorium that can fill over 1,700+ pax and a stage that saw international acts such as the Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift in the past, our Pambansang Bae Alden Richards managed to successfully pull a jam-packed show at the Kallang Theatre in Singapore last Sunday.
We arrived at the venue as early as 8 a.m., and even before entering the concert hall, we can already feel the heightened enthusiasm as legions of sponsors and fans — front-lined by the Aldenatics Singapore (with their head Gless Guanco) and the Aldub Maiden Nation Singapore (with their head Noreen Distajo) — queued up at the entrance gate.

Singapore-based fans went wilder within the historical 3-storey building of the Kallang Theatre when the two-hour special meet-and-greet finally started. Our charming bae maintained his overwhelming warmth all throughout the session despite the ‘stolen’ selfies, hugs, kisses that he unexpectedly got from fans.
We can hear everyone’s thought-bubble upon meeting Alden for the very first time: ‘Alden pa-hug/pa-kiss!’ **Can’t blame you guys!**

The event was attended by the Philippine Ambassador to Singapore, Antonio A. Morales, and it kicked off with various local acts such as the entertaining pageant, the ‘Search for Singapore’s Yaya Dub.’
The stage also saw performances from comedian-singer Kim Idol and the Rock & Soul Diva Aicelle Santos, who had extra-special moments with her very own bae, GMA 7 news reporter Mark Zambrano, on stage. (We’ll be posting a separate story about this very soon!)

Alden delighted all his fans when he appeared twerking on stage and singing some of his popular hits/renditions (‘Wish I May You,’ ‘Thinking Out Loud,’ ‘How Great is our God,’ and ‘God Gave Me You.’)
Fans continued shrieking as Alden showed his amicable and chucklesome side during one of the contest segments where he and four contestants exchanged sweet (and some, sexy) pick-up lines.
Kilig went up a notch higher when Alden serenaded one of his fans who won in an earlier contest:

Congratulations to all the organizers (headed by Arnel and Susan Repeso from SingPhil Events and Services, together with Angel Sibal) and all the sponsors/partners for mounting this successful event.
We’ll be posting more Alden Richards-related stories and videos in the next few days – so stay tuned!
