JAPAN: ‘Kawaii’ Matching Outfits at Tokyo DisneySea
It took me months to finally post about my Tokyo, Japan trip in October last year. Given the number of pictures that need to be sorted out, I’ll be sharing my experience in installment. 😉 For my first post about that unforgettable trip, I’d like to share how cute the couples, siblings, and groups of friends look at Tokyo DisneySea (the more adult-friendly Disney theme park right beside Tokyo Disneyland).

I know it’s a common thing to wear those Mickey Mouse ears inside the theme park but unlike Disneyland and Disney World in the US where mostly the girls take on the theme park fashion scene, Japan’s goers are so much fun to (people-) watch. It really lives up to being the home of “kawaii” (cute) culture and edgy fashion. A lot of the theme park goers noticeably put in effort in what they wore that day and a lot of the guys gamely donned cartoon character headwear to match their partners. That I have yet to see in our country where the macho culture reigns. Too bad I didn’t get a photo of a male “Maleficent” confidently walking around and holding hands with his girlfriend or wife.
Check out the matchy-matchy snapshots (from kids to couples) I got using my camera phone:
