Jericho Violago is a 22-year old young artist who has been bravely embarking on a singing performing career anchored on his strong vocals and wide range talent. Ever since his childhood, his talent in performing has been throbbing in his veins. However, as he is the good “bunso”, Jericho made good on his promise to his parents to finish school first and graduate. And all the way to his university he finished with Latin honors.
He graduated cum laude under the program BS Management degree from Ateneo de Manila University. As early as today, a veteran producer has been compiling songs for his first recording. For his singing talent has been versatile since then, as a singer, Jericho has backed by a string of awards that he earned during his years at Ateneo. Where his highschool group emerged as champion at Musikapella Competition in 2014 and in 2011, he was named champion at the Ateneo Grade School Singing Competition. And he was also elected as the Vice-President of Ateneo Senior High School Glee Club.
Jericho was the youngest of five children of the couple Joselito and Chiqui Violago. Along his way, he had offers to enter a lot of contests, topped by enticing management contracts, but he was really focused on working hard to earn his degree to make his parents proud.
After his graduation in 2022, Jericho was offered by his father a key position at their family-owned rice mill business in San Jose, Nueva, Ecija. Hence, he turned down this invitation and asked permission from his parents to allow him to pursue his dream as a singer-performer.
The 22 year old covers a wide range as a singer, shifting with the equal ease of pop, jazz, swing to R&B, and soul. He also mentioned that he really loves OPM and he is looking forward to collaborating and performing with different stars that today’s hit makers. Jericho’s entertainment credits include performances at the Music Museum, GSIS Museum, and the Valle Verde Country Club. He also performed songs from Broadway musicals as “King and I”, Annie, South Pacific as well as OPM hits and jazzy standards such as songs by Michael Buble and Jericho was trained at The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab.
