Something new has entered the social media space, and it’s aiming to do things a little differently.

Jing recently made its global debut in Singapore, with a launch event held at Golden Village Funan. The venue drew a mix of creators, media, and industry guests, all curious about what the platform brings to the table.

According to co-founder Jing Turla, the app is designed with creators in mind. The goal is to offer a space where people can build communities, explore opportunities, and potentially benefit more directly from the content they share.
That idea was echoed by CEO and founder Glen John Labasug, who pointed out a familiar reality: while billions of people use social media, only a small number actually earn from it. Jing’s approach is to integrate monetization into the platform itself, rather than leaving it as an afterthought.
The launch event reflected that creator-focused direction. Hosted by Swiss creator Marion Muller, it featured appearances from Megan Foo and Kathy Wong, along with several personalities including Arci Muñoz, Angeli Khang, and Nijel de Mesa. The atmosphere leaned more toward a live showcase than a typical corporate rollout.

Beyond the event, the platform is positioning itself as another option for creators looking to get more value from their time online.
Jing is now available as a free download on both Google Play and the App Store.
