Kapamilya actress and multi-slashie Jodi Sta. Maria has always been vocal about her interest in health and wellness. Aside from taking up Psychology for her premedical course, the Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin star is also an acupuncture detoxification specialist (Yes, she’s certified!). This year, in the midst of challenging times due to a pandemic, Jodi pursued her passion in science and business as she teamed up with experienced entrepreneurs Nino Bautista and Red Gatus of BFC Laboratories. Now tagged as the “power trio,” Jodi, Nino, and Red launched Healthy Fix.
With the goal of changing lives through transformative health and financial freedom, Healthy Fix is a line of health supplements that offers interested resellers and distributors a business opportunity. The brand offers its Healthy Fix partners customized and full-service product solutions. The products are available exclusively through a network of independent HealthyFix dealers.

“As a pharmacist, I’m more focused on the industrial side. I love researching and formulating products. It has always been my passion to develop products that prevent diseases and help people feel good about themselves,” BFC Lab Co-founder and Director Nino Bautista said during the media launch. He shared that after 15 years of being an entrepreneur, this is the first time he’s venturing into a community-level business like HealthyFix, something of huge relevance these days. Bautista continued, “Today, more than ever, with the situation we’re all facing right now, we all need each other, we need to lift each other both in achieving healthier lives and upgrading financial capabilities.”
Jodi gave a brief background on how the business partnership started. She shared, “‘Yung idea came a few years ago pa. Even before the pandemic, I have been into taking care of one’s health. When I speak of one’s health, hindi lang siya limited to physical and mental health, it’s being healthy spiritually and psychologically. We have to start by having a healthy physical body.” Clueless about how to give life to her desire to come up with a health product, the actress-entrepreneur tapped her friends-turned-business partners Nino and Red for assistance. The rest, she said, is history. “Heto na tayo ngayon! Healthy Fix na!”
“We are so excited to work with Jodi. As we all know, a lot of Filipinos do not have access to quality healthcare products. It is our goal to reach consumers in far-flung areas, and even abroad,” BFC Lab Managing Director Red Gatus said.

Here’s her answer.
“For my emotional and psychological health, I really take some time off when I feel overwhelmed with the hustle and bustle of everything with what’s going on. As part of my self-care, I spend time with myself, I just read a good book, I do prayer and meditation bukod sa exercise. For me, it’s so important to be able to say no because tayo, mahilig tayo kahit hindi na natin kaya, yes tayo nang yes and then at the expense of our emotional and mental health. Natutunan ko ‘yan na ‘No is okay.’ You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone if ever no is your answer. Drink your favorite tea. Spend time with the people who make you feel loved and appreciated. Spend time with people who nourish your soul. That is something that’s very important. Kasi, health is not just of the physical aspect. We are tripartite beings. We are body, soul, and spirit. All three aspects have to be taken cared of. Hindi puwedeng isa lang like you’re physically healthy but you’re emotionally not. Kailangan ‘yung tatlo magkaroon ng balanse. Napaka-importante nun it’s because our healthy well-being is our best gift to our family, our friends, and our colleagues. So, ‘yun ang paniniwala ko. Health is wealth but it’s not just limited to what we eat. It’s also what we watch, what we listen to. We have to be able to know how to filter what thing that corrupt our soul or damage our spirit.“
