Jump on a scary ride this Halloween with Viva Films and BLVCK Creatives’ ‘Pasahero’
This October, you’re in for a scary ride. Get ready for “Pasahero”, a gripping film about a crime committed on a train, leaving seven witnesses in its wake. Directed by Roman Perez, Jr., this movie boasts an impressive cast including Louise delos Reyes, Yumi Garcia, Katya Santos, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Andre Yllana, Keann Johnson, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Dani Zee, and Bea Binene.
The film centers around Michelle (Louise delos Reyes), a young woman from the province, full of hope as she starts a new chapter in Manila. But her dreams are shattered when she’s assaulted on a late-night train ride, with no one coming to her aid. The film explores the chilling phenomenon of bystander apathy, as each passenger grapples with their own reasons for inaction.
Among the witnesses is Angel (Bea Binene), a popular online artist who carries the scars of a traumatic past, leading her to vow never to help anyone again. Trina (Katya Santos), a single mother, is also present, but her fear for her daughter’s safety prevents her from intervening.
Even Tom (Mark Anthony Fernandez), a former boxer with the physical capability to fight back, is paralyzed by fear. Similarly, Martin (Andre Yllana), Alvin (Keann Johnson), and their friend Drea (Yumi Garcia) are too absorbed in their own worlds to offer help.
“Pasahero” delves into the devastating consequences of the passengers’ choices. Not only are they consumed by guilt, but their loved ones also become entangled in the sinister aftermath. Can this group of individuals find redemption and ensure justice for Michelle?
Don’t miss “Pasahero”, a Viva Films and JPHLiX Films production in cooperation with BLVCK Films and Pelikula Indiopendent, opening in cinemas nationwide on October 9, 2024.
