From record-breaker to history-maker

Just days after claiming the title of highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, “Hello, Love, Again” has achieved another monumental feat. ABS-CBN News reported via Instagram that the Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards starrer has now grossed ₱1.06 billion in worldwide box office revenue as of November 23, according to ABS-CBN Films. This makes it the first Filipino film ever to break the ₱1 billion mark, solidifying its place in Philippine cinema history.

This incredible achievement comes on the heels of the film’s record-breaking ₱930 million earnings in just 10 days, surpassing the previous record held by “Rewind.” The Star Cinema and GMA Pictures collaboration has been shattering expectations since its release on November 13, achieving the highest first-day gross of ₱85 million and the highest single-day ticket sales of ₱131 million on November 16.

“Hello, Love, Again” has captured audiences not only in the Philippines but also across the globe. With screenings in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, Guam, Saipan, and London, the film has garnered international acclaim, even debuting at No. 8 in the US box office Top 10 with a $2.4 million opening. This marked the biggest opening for a Filipino film in America.

The film’s success story continues to unfold with screenings in over 1,000 cinemas worldwide, including 181 in the Middle East and upcoming screenings in various Asian territories.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, “Hello, Love, Again” has proven to be a cultural phenomenon, setting a new standard for Filipino cinema. Its record-breaking performance demonstrates the power of effective storytelling and the global appeal of Filipino talent.
