Kathryn Bernardo overcomes insecurity over 'sakang' tag because of Daniel Padilla

Last night, KathNiel fans went abuzz on Twitter as the hashtag #SakangSiKathryn (Kathryn is bow-legged) trended as number one topic on the microblogging site. This isn’t the first time the Kapamilya actress has been the subject of online bashing, particularly with that attack on her physical attribute.

Just a few minutes ago, Kathryn released her latest vlog entry on her Youtube channel Everyday Kath with the title “Finally Reacting to Your Mean Comments!.” She appeared fiercer and more confident as she addressed a collection of mean comments (pabebe, annoying, and more unfiltered ones!) generated online. As expected, the harsh comment on the shape of her legs posted as a tweet was included in the list. The tweet said, “Ang pangit ni Kathryn Bernardo. Sakang na! Pangit pa!“

Here’s Kathryn’s epic reaction and sweet revelation.

“Oh, boom! Ito ‘yung hinihintay ko! (laughs) Okay, so lahat kayo sinasabihan ako about my legs. Na hindi diretso ang legs ko, sakang ako. Bakit ko inalis ‘yung comments section ko sa Instagram? Kasi feeling ko, grabe ‘yung negative energy! Ang daming time talaga ng bashers. But, ngayon talaga hindi na ako nabo-bother. Alam n’yo, over the years, natutunan ko tanggapin ‘yung legs ko. (She props up her legs on the couch and pats them) Yes, it’s not straight. It’s kinda, ganyan (forms parenthesis in the air with her hands), parang parenthesis. ‘Yun ang sinasabi nila. But wala eh, parte siya ng pagkatao ko. And before, sobrang insecurity ko ‘to. Pero, alam n’yo kung sino ‘yung nagpa-realize sa’kin na huwag maging insecurity? Si DJ (her boyfriend and loveteam partner Daniel Padilla). So, through DJ, na-overcome ko ‘yung insecurity about my legs. Ngayon, kahit anong tayo ko, ganun, kasi na-realize ko lahat tayo merong imperfections. Siguro, nagkataon sa’kin binigay ni God ‘yung legs ko. So anong gagawin ko? Nag-wo-work out ako para ma-exercise siya and tatanggapin ko siya kasi hello! Hindi naman ako makukulong sa pagkasakang ko! I love my legs. Si DJ love din legs ko! So, I’m sorry…anong pangalan niya? Ine-namedrop natin. Anong pangalan mo? Come on, you kiss my (bleeping sound) legs! Joke lang! (laughs) ‘Cause I love it now! Tanggap ko siya. 100 percent! No echos.”
