Kelvin Miranda and Ally Gonzales team up together to spread some love and kilig vibes as they breathe life to iconic Filipino song Gusto Kita under GMA Music.

This wasn’t the first time that the two artists collaborated for a song. Early this year, in February, Ally released the music video of her first single, Ating Kabanata, opposite Kelvin.

Ally gleefully shares, “Ang unang concept namin, it was originally for a cover song namin ni Kelvin. Pero since nagandahan [kami sa] Gusto Kita, we tried to revise it pa. And then yan, there was ‘Ghost Doctor’ and we shot a video.”

‘Ghost Doctor’ is a Korean drama headlined by superstars Rain and Kim Bum that is currently being shown on GMA and the pair’s rendition of Gusto Kita was handpicked to be the show’s Filipino soundtrack.

In an interview, the 18-year-old charming singer was all praises for her partner. “Kelvin has always been a joy to work with. The second time around when we did ‘Gusto Kita,’ I was more comfortable [and] relaxed since Kelvin is always super nice. I always learn a lot from him, especially since sa first single ko ‘Ating Kabanata’ na he’s very patient with me. He was my first leading man and I’m just very happy to work with him again. I love our duet rendition because you can feel the love in it and I am very grateful for this chance.”

For his part, Kelvin is also gratefully for the opportunity given by GMA Music. “Salamat kasi binigyan nila ako ng opportunity and pinapili nila ako ng kanta na komportable ako.”

Kelvin is the newest Kapuso leading man and one of the freshest faces for Bench. He undoubtedly made a name for himself after his successful portrayal in the 2021 teleserye on GTV, The Lost Recipe. He then immediately had a follow-up project and was partnered with actress Beauty Gonzalez in the limited series, Stories from the Heart: Loving Miss Bridgette.

Indeed a triple threat, this Kapuso leading man charmed his fans as a singer. He recently released two singles, Sumayaw, and Slow Dance, that caught the ladies’ hearts. Both singles skyrocketed in digital platforms placing #8 and #2 in Spotify and iTunes.

Meanwhile, Ally, 18, started singing at the age of 2 and was taken under the tutelage of international singer-composer Keith Martin. Coming from a showbiz background with her father Allyson VII and ninang Nikka Valencia, among others, she sure has the making of a star as apart from singing, she has also ventured into doing commercials and modeling early on.
