Earlier this month, Sparkle heartthrob and Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters star Kimson Tan signed the contract for international film project “King of Hawkers” set to launch Singaporean food and culture to the world.
Chef John See, food stylist for 2018 hit Crazy Rich Asians, will be training Kimson for a month. Aside food styling, Chef John a also plans to immerse Kimson into authentic Singaporean living.
Kimson said, “I’ll give my best in Singapore and one month training will be so hard but it’s all gonna be worth it when the film comes out.”
Kimson is currently part of primetime series “Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters” on GMA. His fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) worked to his advantage. It qualified him for the role.
The Sparkle artist will be under the tutelage of Singaporean director Kelvin Sng. The director’s previous projects are “Taxi! Taxi!,” “The Fortune Handbook,” and “Don’t Go Home Tonight.”
