Lance Raymundo returns to the music scene with singles 'Sana' and 'Silent Night'

After taking a hiatus from the musical industry, singer-songwriter Lance Raymundo is back with new singles. In an intimate interview, the Viva artist shared his journey as a young artist who took a break from the limelight and opted to finish his studies before trying his luck again. Part of his musical break was immersing himself as an actor. “Naka-35 movies ako. Cinemalaya, Cinemaone, QCinema, and TV shows as well,” Lance shared. But as we know, the heart yearns for what it truly loves. In Lance’s case, it is music. For the second time, Lance took a shot at a singing career and VIVA Artists Agency embraced him back as a contract artist in 2018.

Risks and reinvention

“I need to take risks.”

At a time when younger artists are popping up everywhere, Lance admits he needs to take risks to keep up and aim for growth. He continues to update himself with different genres and tries to adapt to the changing needs of his viewers. Proof to this is his latest stint as a vlogger/Youtuber. He’s got a really interesting collaboration with one of the hottest Youtubers online. One of the risks he also took is coming up with a remake of the classic Christmas song, Silent Night. This is following the success of his own composition, You are the One, which was played in different radio stations nationwide last year.

“Not everyone is lucky in love.”

Another risk Lance took is veering away from the usual happy love songs with his recent composition. He acknowledges that not everyone is fortunate to have a blissful love life that there is a need for a more relatable theme. Thus, he came up with Sana.
