What happens when you mix a professional network like Linkedin with the technical know-how of Wikipedia and matching capabilities of Tinder? You get something like the STERNA app. The said app was launched to the media last August 3 at the Crimson Hotel in Alabang. The app is divided in to 3 major formats that interact together as one – the Sterna Admin, Sterna, and Sterna Client.
Sterna Admin – allows agencies in the same country to conduct conferences, training sessions, and recruitment events
Sterna – intended for applicants who dream of working abroad. Applicants have questions to answer and data to fill out. Profiles will be shown to companies abroad for candidates to be interviewed.
Sterna Client – facilitates the search of qualified candidates. Companies may reserve them for visual or onsite interviews.

The app was first launched in Mexico in 2017, introduced in Columbia in 2018, and currently being used in Tunisia and Morocco. Expansion is intended here in the Philippines.
Sterna is made to ease the recruitment method of what is considered as an old school process of job applications and matching in the country today. With the help of this app, illegal recruiters are screened and eliminated.
As of now, the app will be used for finding work in Canada but will be eventually used to connect to the world, bringing suitable jobs for Filipinos.
