Lav Diaz Wins Silver Bear in Berlin; Team Meets Meryl Streep and Clive Owen

Yesterday, Filipino indie filmmaker Lav Diaz won the Alfred Bauer Silver Bear award at the 66th Berlin Film Festival for his film, Hele sa Hiwagang Hapis.  The film was a mix of history and literature.

In Berlin, Lav was with film producer Paul Soriano and cast which includes Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Cherie Gil, Susan Africa, Angel Aquino, and Alessandra de Rossi. The team was thrilled to meet award-winning Hollywood actress Meryl Streep.
