P-Pop (Pinoy Pop) is definitely on the rise! The musical phenomenon has become a cultural movement that started gaining momentum both locally and internationally in the recent years, especially during the pandemic. One of those at the forefront of the wave is Alamat, an all-male P-Pop group whose music and performances are deeply rooted in Filipino culture and identity.

Known for hits like “Day and Night” and “Maharani,” Alamat has carved out a niche with their celebration of diversity and heritage. We saw the boys who hail from different parts of the country transform over the years from Zoom mediacons to physical presscons.

As the group gears up for their biggest concert yet, Ragasa, they credit their partnership with DITO Telecommunity for amplifying their vision.

Much like Alamat’s commitment to highlighting Filipino culture, DITO stands out as a proudly Filipino telecommunications brand dedicated to connecting communities and showcasing local talent.

Preparing for Ragasa

Set to take place tonight, December 6, 2024, at the New Frontier Theater, Ragasa is a milestone for the Alamat boys. Despite the festive season, the group has been hard at work, rehearsing tirelessly for their fans. During the Galing DITO sa Puso Ko media event hosted by DITO, the group shared how their partnership with the telco has supported them in preparing for the big night.

“Our concert, Ragasa, is presented by DITO. So, thank you so much, DITO, always,” shared Jao, one of Alamat’s members. “Super nakatulong ‘yung DITO kasi with the help of our connections, kailangan updated—kailangan sa online messaging app mo, may messages ‘yan every day, titignan mo kasi may changes.”

The collaboration has been more than just logistical support. For Alamat, being part of the DITO family has strengthened their connection to their Filipino roots and their fans.

Alamat and DITO: A Shared Vision

As Alamat continues to tour the Philippines, they’ve noticed a transformation in their lives, thanks in part to DITO. “Bukod sa napakaganda ng connection namin with families and friends gamit ang DITO WOWFi, mas na-amplify ‘yung vision namin as Alamat,” said Jao. “Nakatulong kami ng DITO traveling sa iba’t ibang part ng Pilipinas, promoting culture, diversity, and Filipino talent.”

For Alas, DITO’s fast and reliable connection has also made life more convenient. “Hassle-free kasi mahilig ako sa internet talaga dahil sa games,” he shared.

A Record-Breaking Year for DITO

While Alamat prepares for Ragasa, DITO is celebrating a banner year in the Philippine telecommunications industry. During the recently concluded year-end thanksgiving event, DITO CEO Eric Alberto announced that the telco had been recognized by Opensignal as the fastest mobile network in the Philippines.

“I’m honored to share with all of you that independent mobile analytics Opensignal awarded DITO as the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines, where we excelled in the speed race,” Alberto said.

This recognition came alongside other major milestones, including surpassing 14 million subscribers, achieving 86.3% network coverage in its fifth and final technical audit, and earning back-to-back accolades from Ookla as the #1 Rated Mobile Network in the Philippines.

Bridging Connections and Celebrating Filipino Talent

As the year comes to a close, DITO remains focused on its mission to bridge the digital divide and support Filipino communities. “We understand that progress is not a one-time achievement—it is a continuous journey of building and improving,” Alberto emphasized.

This dedication is evident in campaigns like Galing DITO, which celebrates Filipino talent with Alamat as its ambassadors, and DITO sa Puso Ko, featuring power couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. Together, these initiatives highlight DITO’s commitment to uplifting local talent and fostering meaningful connections.

Looking Ahead

With Alamat’s Ragasa concert happening TONIGHT and DITO’s continued achievements in the telecom industry, it’s clear that both are making waves in their respective fields. As Alamat sings and dances their way into fans’ hearts, DITO stands by their side, ensuring they stay connected and ready to shine.
